Credit Card Management
Credit Card Management is where you set up due-date alerts and credit limit tracking for your credit cards. Once configured, CentBase sends you reminders before payments are due and warns you when you are approaching your limit.
TL;DR
Open More then Credit Card Management (or open a credit card account's details and tap the management option). From there you can set the statement day and due day for each card, configure credit limit alerts, and see a summary of upcoming payments. CentBase sends automatic reminders before the due date so you never miss a payment.
Where to find it
There are two ways to open Credit Card Management:
- More then Credit Card Management
- Open any credit card on the Accounts tab, then look for the management option in the account details
Setting up a credit card
When you first create a credit card account, you may see a "Finish card setup" banner on the account details page. Tap it to scroll to the credit card details section where you can add the missing information.
The key fields are:
- Statement day - The day of the month your billing cycle closes. For example, if your statement closes on the 15th, this is 15.
- Due day - The day your payment is due. For example, if your payment is due on the 2nd of the following month, this is 2.
- Credit limit - The maximum amount your card allows. CentBase uses this to calculate how much of your limit you have used.
You do not have to fill in every field right away. You can come back and add them later.
Due date alerts
Once you set the statement day and due day, CentBase creates automatic reminders for that card. These appear in the Notifications Hub and as phone notifications (if notifications are enabled).
You will see a reminder a few days before the due date, giving you time to make the payment. These reminders are managed by the app. You can see them in the Reminders hub, but you do not edit them there. To change the due date, go back to Credit Card Management and update the day.
Credit limit alerts
If you set a credit limit, CentBase tracks how close you are to it. When your balance approaches the limit, a warning appears on the account details page.
The alert thresholds are designed to give you early warning before you hit the limit, so you can slow down spending or make a payment.
Payment status
On the credit card account details page you will see a payment status section showing:
- Whether a payment is currently due
- How much is due
- When the next statement closes
This gives you a quick snapshot of where your card stands without digging into the billing details.
The managed envelope
When you create a credit card account, CentBase automatically creates a corresponding envelope for that card. This envelope tracks your credit card spending. Expenses assigned to this envelope represent charges on the card, and income assigned to it represents payments you make.
You do not need to set this up manually. It happens when you create the credit card account.
